Magomed Ankalaev is scheduled to face Aleksandar Rakić at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Ankalaev is ranked No. 2 in the light heavyweight division but has yet to face the champion.
Meanwhile, Dana White announced on Friday that Alex Pereira will defend his Light Heavyweight Title against No. 8-ranked Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 307 on October 5.
On X, Magomed Ankalaev stated that he would destroy Rakić in October to get the attention of matchmakers. Ankalaev added that he doesn’t need sympathy from fans.

Yesterday, Jamahal Hill expressed his frustration about UFC giving a title shot to Khalil Rountree Jr. Ankalaev responded to Hill as follows:
