In recent years, WWE has made significant strides in promoting diversity and inclusivity, but one area where the company has faced criticism is the lack of black talent representation at premium live events. While WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque has been celebrated for his contributions to the development of talent and innovative storytelling, allegations of lack of black representation have surfaced, raising significant questions about diversity.
During the WWE Bad Blood post-show press conference, Paul Levesque was asked why black wrestlers were not featured in the past three PLEs. Levesque said everyone will have opportunities, and he doesn’t see talent based on their color or nationality.
“Everybody gets the opportunity. I don’t see the difference in anybody. I don’t see the color. I don’t see the nationality. I don’t see any of it. I just see talent. I don’t see the difference between men and women. We tell stories with those talent. How they can handle those stories and how they can represent those stories, and how we can bring those stories forward. I don’t keep track of any of that. I do what’s relevant and what’s best. The best in storytelling and what’s being delivered the best. That’s what goes. No different than, you know, the men and women who main events.”
