Andrade’s contract status has been a major talking point since his WWE release earlier this fall. After making his in-ring return with WWC on December 13, new details have now emerged about his future.
According to Fightful Select, Andrade’s WWE contract officially expired on December 12, making him fully free to work wherever he chooses. Over the past week, he has already appeared for House of Glory and New Japan Pro Wrestling, and it has been announced that he will join the United Empire for a match at Wrestle Kingdom 20 on January 4.

The report also notes that RUSH helped connect Andrade with an attorney and representative who successfully got his one-year non-compete clause waived. As a result, Andrade is now eligible to sign with any promotion, including AEW, TNA, AAA, CMLL, or others.
Fightful adds that Andrade worked with an attorney who has prior experience dealing with WWE, allowing both sides to reach an amicable agreement. Previously, AEW President Tony Khan has stated that he would welcome Andrade back once he was contractually free.
