Brock Lesnar made his return on WWE RAW’s 30th-anniversary show where he cost Bobby Lashley’s United States Title match. Last week, Lesnar appeared on SmackDown and declared his entry at the men’s Royal Rumble match after hitting an F5 on Lashley.
Last Saturday at Royal Rumble, Bobby Lashley eliminated Brock Lesnar from the men’s Royal Rumble match. The Beast then destroyed announce table and attacked a referee at the ringside area which led to a bit of backstage heat.
Previously it was reported that Brock Lesnar was pitched to face Steve Austin at WrestleMania 39. But Austin has then turned down the offer. There was also a rumor circulated that WWE planning a match between Lesnar and Gunther at Show of Shows. It was just a rumor and nothing has been confirmed.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that Brock Lesnar is booked for Elimination Chamber PLE and WrestleMania 39. Meltzer noted that Lesnar could face Lashley at WrestleMania.
“Lesnar has been confirmed to be working both Montreal and WrestleMania. For Mania, it could be another match with Lashley. We were only told rumors of Gunther are false and that Steve Austin, who they had contacted for Lesnar, had turned down wrestling on the show.”
