Last May, Sasha Banks along with Naomi walked out from WWE after a creative meeting with Vince McMahon. Banks then made her NJPW debut last month at Wrestle Kingdom 17 as Mercedes Mone. Last week, Mercedes Mone won the IWGP Women’s Championship by defeating KAIRI at the Battle in the Valley pay-per-view.
During an interview with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Bayley was asked if she believes Mercedes Mone will return to WWE.
“I’ll say yes. Because I mean, this is her home. This is her dream, and I love to see what she’s doing and what she’s going to be doing over the next few months. She’s going to literally take over the world, take the world by storm, but I know this is her home and where her heart is. By her heart, I mean me, so she needs to come back to me, you know? I need her, I need my travel partner, but I’m gonna say yes like I’ll never give up hope that she’ll come back.”
Mercedes Mone was recently interviewed by Marc Raimondi of ESPN. Raimondi asked Mone about the possibility of returning to WWE. Mone said “I guess people like to say ‘never say never.’ You never know in life.”
