NJPW Battle in the Valley pay-per-view took place today at San Jose Civic in San Jose, California. In the co-main event, KAIRI defended her IWGP Women’s Championship against Mercedes Moné. In the closing moment of the bout, Mercedes hit a “Moné Maker” to win the IWGP Women’s Title.
Following the match, KAIRI put the championship around Mercedes’ waist. KAIRI and Mercedes then hugged each other.

In the main event, Kazuchika Okada defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi to retain the IWGP World Heavyweight Title.
