Last April, WWE and Endeavor Group Holdings signed an agreement to form TKO Group Holdings by merging WWE and UFC. The new publicly listed entity is worth more than $21 billion.
Today, Endeavor and WWE issued a press release to announce that the TKO Group Holdings will be formed on Tuesday, September 12th.
Upon close, TKO will list on New York Stock Exchange, begin public trading
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. & STAMFORD, Conn. (September 7, 2023) – Endeavor Group Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: EDR) (“Endeavor”) and World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: WWE) (“WWE”) today announced they expect to close the previously announced transaction to form TKO Group Holdings, Inc. (“TKO”) on September 12, 2023, after which time TKO will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “TKO”.
Vince McMahon will serve as the Executive Chairman of TKO and Ariel Emanuel will be the CEO. Recently, 10 board members of TKO Group Holdings were revealed through an SEC filing.
