Charlotte Flair won the SmackDown Women’s Championship on the December 30th episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Charlotte is now set to defend the SmackDown Women’s Title against the 2023 winner of the women’s Royal Rumble match, Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39.

However, Charlotte’s storyline with Sonya Deville wasn’t ended yet. Both women wrestled multiple times on WWE television.

Last night’s SmackDown took place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC. SmackDown Women’s Champion didn’t appear during the show. But Charlotte Flair defended her SmackDown Women’s Title against Sonya Deville after SmackDown went off the air. Charlotte put a Figure Eight submission on Deville and retained the title.
