Cody Rhodes Talks About His Retirement From Pro Wrestling

Cody Rhodes has been in the top position since returning to WWE at WrestleMania 38. Recently, several rumors circulated on social media regarding Rhodes’ contract status with the company.

In an interview with Justin Walker, Rhodes was asked about his decision to retire from pro wrestling at the age of 40 and if it’s still the same. The American Nightmare confirmed that he had changed the plan. Rhodes added that he signed a contract with WWE beyond his 40th birthday.

“I can tell you 40 is out of the question [for retirement] just because, not to give you a scoop, it was widely reported, but I did sign a new contract with WWE. It extends beyond my 40th birthday. However, I will say that the plan is still, when it’s time to step out, to step out without it being a painful process.”
