Leati Joseph Anoaʻi, better known as Roman Reigns, had to take a hiatus from pro wrestling in 2018 due to his leukemia being returned after 11 years. Reigns relinquished the Universal Championship on the October 22nd episode of RAW to get medical treatment. Four months later, Reigns announced that he was once again in remission.
On Sunday, A&E aired the biography of Roman Reigns. In his documentary, The Tribal Chief said that patients who are diagnosed with leukemia in the early stages can get medication for remission. Reigns added that he’s still taking medication to this day.
“For leukemia, if you caught it in an early stage like I did, you’re able to take a medication, a very important medication, that I am still on to this day.”
Reigns was initially diagnosed with leukemia in 2007 and was in remission two years later.
