Bryan Danielson suffered an injury during the match against Kazuchika Okada at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door last June. Danielson fractured his right forearm ten minutes before the match ended.
The initial thought was that the injury wasn’t severe. However, Brie Garcia posted an X-ray of her husband’s broken arm and stated that it was a lot worse than they thought.
Bryan Danielson successfully underwent surgery earlier last month. Danielson said that the doctors “put a steel rod and 9 screws” in his arm.
Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that The American Dragon could make his return within three months.
“Bryan Danielson got his surgery for his broken arm on 7/3 and that the time was told three months before he could return, although it’s possible he could beat that by a week or two. All In and All Out are out, Wrestle Grand Slam doesn’t look good but I don’t want to say impossible, but he should be back in October.”
Bryan Danielson has wrestled ten matches this year so far. Prior to the injury, Danielson was supposed to compete on the June 28th episode of AEW Dynamite.
