Tony Khan Explains Why He Posts Controversial Statements On Social Media

Tony Khan often made headlines in the world of pro wrestling with his controversial social media posts. Last month, Khan issued a statement on X regarding fans’ double standards, which caused a huge turmoil on social media. Recently, Khan reacted to Rossy Ogawa’s departure from Stardom with a series of GIFs.

In an interview with Adrian Hernandez, AEW President Tony Khan was asked about his social media behavior and what he has to say about fans who are telling him to focus only on his company.

“Well, I think we’ve been able to promote the show and build engagement, and also, the company has a great presence, and we have a great connection with the fans, so it’s a good question. But I think we’ve been able to build real engagement at times, and I think there’s tangible proof for that.”

Tony Khan then talked about television ratings.

“I believe three out of our last four weeks of Wednesday night [AEW] Dynamite has beat the NBA on ESPN straight up, and we’ve had great success connecting with our fans. So, I think what we’ve got going works really well.”
