Last month, CM Punk shocked the pro wrestling world as he returned to WWE during Team Cody’s WarGames victory celebration at Survivor Series.
World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins wasn’t thrilled about CM Punk’s comeback. Rollins expressed his anger during Punk’s appearance at Survivor Series. That was a planned moment to generate buzz for their upcoming feud.
Seth Rollins called CM Punk a cancer and told him to stay away from him at the WWE 2K23 Royal Rumble hands-on event in San Antonio, Texas. At the time, Punk was under contract with AEW.
On the SI Media podcast, Seth Rollins explained why he doesn’t like CM Punk. Rollins said that Punk has said bad things about him and WWE in the past.
“I mean a lot of it’s personal. But for the most part, I just think he’s [CM Punk] been really selfish. And look, I got a lot of good things to say about parts of my relationship with him. He helped me in places when he didn’t have to. And look, he said some really bad things about me. Talked down about me for years, and the company [WWE], for years. I’m talking some really bad stuff. Called me a bootlicker and crap like that. You don’t know me. You don’t know what I stand for. I’m a loyal person, and I felt pretty insulted by a lot of the ways he treated me, treated the place I work for, [and] treated friends that I worked with. I don’t need to get into any of the stuff with Colt Cabana if you want to look at that kind of stuff, that’s out there. It’s a deep-rooted, I wouldn’t call it hatred, But a certain animosity there.”

During the interview, The Visionary also said that he’s open to mending fences with Punk.
