According to Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc, WWE has released Sasha Banks. He also stated that at this point, it’s unknown if Sasha requested the release or if WWE took the decision to release her.

On the May 16th episode of Monday Night RAW, then WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of the Norfolk Scope Arena after a disagreement with Vince McMahon. It was later revealed that they walked out on WWE RAW due to the frustration of their booking decisions. That episode of Monday Night RAW, Sasha Banks and Naomi were supposed to compete in a six-pack challenge to determine who would earn the RAW Women’s Title match for the Hell in a Cell premium live event. The match was removed from the show soon after their departure. Following their walking out on RAW, Sasha and Naomi were suspended indefinitely and stripped from the Women’s Tag Team Titles. It was announced on the May 20th episode of Friday Night SmackDown by WWE commentator Michael Cole.
Since then, Sasha Banks stayed silent on social media, but she was spotted with Snoop Dogg’s son at a concert. Earlier this week, Sasha Banks successfully underwent Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK) eye surgery at Newsom Eye in Tampa, Florida. The ophthalmologist center has posted several photos of Sasha Banks before and after the surgery. The most notable thing is that Sasha’s hair looked completely different before walking out on Monday Night RAW.
It seems like Mercedes Varnado, also known as Sasha Banks has decided to pursue a career in Hollywood.
