Last week, Sami Zayn was supposed to team up with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins to face The Judgment Day in the main event of RAW. However, Zayn was replaced by Shinsuke Nakamura in the bout after JD McDonagh attacked Zayn backstage.
Fans noticed Sami Zayn had a golf ball size lump on his left elbow during that segment. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer confirmed that Zayn is dealing with a bursa sac injury.
One-half of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn appeared on the “Out Of Character” podcast, where he provided an update on his injury.
“I’ve been battling a lot of little nagging injuries for some time, but nothing to the extent that would put me on the shelf. So [my elbow] is part of a nagging injury that’s just kind of gotten a little bit worse…”
This past Monday, Sami Zayn was able to wrestle JD McDonagh despite dealing with an elbow injury. Zayn picked up the victory in the match.
