Last night, Cody Rhodes kicked off Monday Night RAW to address the fans after his SummerSlam victory over Brock Lesnar. Rhodes was then interrupted by the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. The Judgment Day interrupted both Rhodes and Rollins. Rhea Ripley said that they run the show. Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Dominik then attacked Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Sami Zayn made the save.
Sami Zayn was supposed to team up with Rhodes and Rollins to face The Judgment Day in the main event of last night’s RAW. However, Zayn was attacked by JD McDonagh backstage. Later, Shinsuke Nakamura volunteered as a tag team partner of Rhodes and Rollins.

Many fans noticed a lump on Sami Zayn’s elbow during the backstage segment. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer noted that Zayn is dealing with a bursa sac injury.
“That (attack from JD McDonagh) was a cover for a bursa sac injury. It’s so swollen. He had a golf ball size swell. I wonder what they’re gonna do with the tag team titles. Kevin can work, the whole idea was that since they decided not to book him for SummerSlam – if they booked him for SummerSlam, he would have kept working and done SummerSlam. But when the decision was made not to put a tag team title match on SummerSlam, they decided to shoot an angle to get him off and get him a little bit of rest. But it was only supposed to be like a short period of rest. That’s why they didn’t take the belts off or anything like that.”
