On Thursday, former WBC Interim Lightweight Champion Ryan Garcia was expelled from the organization after he made racist and Islamophobic remarks on X. Garcia’s parents stated that they don’t support any statements he had made regarding race or religion.
On Instagram, Ryan Garcia issued the following statement:
“Let me get this straight I’ve actually supported black communities
Have taken racism from Tim Bradley calling me a zoo animal on ESPN
And turn the other cheek but I’m racist bc everyone was just drunk and saying sh-t people say all the time including black men.
If you get triggered by a word that means you are too sensitive
God knows my heart and how I would protect black children till the day I die
I was speaking against black on black crime
They took everything out of context
Including the musilim part I spoke against p-do activity in every religiousn and How I don’t stand for that
Also I’m really sorry to my Muslim brother and friends
I got mad bc sn-ako defended someone being a p-do
And it got me heated
I know Muslims don’t stand for that
I just got really upset, I actually speak very highly of Muslims and even have many employees that are Muslim
I love yall sorry”
