Ronda Rousey Confirms Her Departure From WWE

This past Saturday, Ronda Rousey faced Shayna Baszler in an MMA Rules match at SummerSlam. Both women delivered their best performance in the MMA-style match.

Baszler locked Rousey with Kirifuda Clutch in the closing moment. The Baddest Woman on the Planet passed out to the submission. The referee then declared Baszler the winner of the match.

On Instagram, Ronda Rousey posted a few photos of her match at SummerSlam and confirmed her departure from WWE.

“@qosbaszler you were the reason I got into this business… Now I got no reason to stay”

Last year, Ronda Rousey made her return at the Women’s Royal Rumble match after three years away from the squared circle. Rousey won the Royal Rumble but failed to capture the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38. Rousey became the SmackDown Women’s Champion by defeating Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania Backlash last year. Last May, Rousey and Baszler won the Women’s Tag Team Championships. However, last month Baszler attacked Rousey during the Women’s Tag Team Titles match at Money in the Bank to start the storyline. This past Saturday, Rousey put Baszler over before leaving the company.

It’s ok to call it the Smackdown Women’s Championship, That’s what it was.
