Ric Flair made his AEW debut on the October 25th episode of Dynamite, where he reunited with his longtime friend Sting. Flair arrived in AEW as a special gift for The Icon from Tony Khan. Later, the WWE Hall of Famer stated on X that he would be with Sting until he retires at AEW Revolution next year.
Yesterday All Elite Wrestling announced that Ric Flair has signed a multi-year contract with the company. This means Flair will stay in Tony Khan’s promotion even after Sting’s retirement.
After signing with AEW, Ric Flair did an interview with Variety, where he stated that he wanted to go one-on-one with MJF on a promo battle.
During an interview with Marc Raimondi of ESPN, Ric Flair stated that he’s willing to take a table bump if the company wants.
“I’m trying to think of anyone who’s anywhere near my age that hasn’t had knee replacements, shoulder replacements, hip replacements, and I don’t have any of that, and I don’t hurt. I’m not real flexible because I’ve torn my rotator cuff three times. But I don’t hurt; that’s the key. So what the hell, they want to throw me through a table? I’m up for it.”
In an interview with PWInsider, Ric Flair stated that he’s medically cleared to compete.
“I just made it very clear to everybody that I can take bumps. I have a doctor’s release to do anything I want like that. Do I think I’ll wrestle again? No. Would I like to? Obviously. I’m never going to say no.”
