Liv Morgan, the former WWE Women’s World Champion, is still months away from returning to the ring after suffering a separated shoulder in her June 16th match against Kairi Sane on Monday Night RAW.
According to a new report from PWInsider, WWE does not expect her back until the start of next year’s WrestleMania season. Morgan’s recovery from shoulder surgery is moving forward steadily. This week, she underwent a medical evaluation to determine her progress, with WWE officials hopeful that she could make her comeback in early 2026, provided her rehab continues smoothly. Interestingly, the timeline mirrors her previous shoulder injury from the summer of 2023, which kept her sidelined until she made a surprise return at the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble.
Her latest surgery was performed in Birmingham, Alabama, by the renowned Dr. Jeff Dugas at Andrews Sports Medicine, a facility trusted by WWE talent. Reports also confirm her rehabilitation under Dr. Kevin Wilk, who noted that things are going well despite the long road ahead.
The injury came at a particularly unfortunate time for Morgan. She had just begun a program with WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella, with plans reportedly leading to The Judgment Day defending their Women’s Tag Team Championships against the returning Bella Twins at the Evolution Premium Live Event in Atlanta.
