Rampage Jackson Issues Apology After Son’s Shocking In-Ring Assault

MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s son, Raja Jackson, has found himself at the center of a shocking controversy after a violent incident at an independent wrestling event in California. The chaos started when wrestler Stuart “Syko Stu” Smith struck Raja with a can at the entrance of the Knokx Pro Wrestling venue. While it was meant to be a staged segment, Raja seemingly didn’t realize it was scripted. He told viewers on the livestream, “Just wait, I’m going to get my get back.”

About half an hour later, during Smith’s match, Raja stormed the ring. He lifted Smith over his head, slammed him to the mat, and unleashed more than 20 full-force punches to Smith’s head. Smith appeared unconscious during the assault and had to be rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

Rampage Jackson later issued a heartfelt apology, explaining his son had recently suffered a concussion and “should not have been participating.” He condemned the attack, stressing concern for both Raja’s health and Smith’s recovery.

“I want to clear up the misinformation about my son Raja. I’ve been confirmed that the wrestler (Stewart Smith aka Syko Stu) is awake and stable. Raja was unexpectedly hit in the side of the head by him moments before Smith’s match, Raja was told that he could get his “payback”in the ring,i thought it was apart of the show. It was bad judgement, and a work that went wrong. Raja is a MMA fighter not a pro wrestler and had no business involved in an event like this. I don’t condone my son’s actions AT ALL! He suffered a concussion from sparring only days ago and had no business doing anything remotely close to physical contact. As a father, im deeply concerned with his health AND the well being of Mr. Smith. That being said I’m very upset that any of this happened, but my main concern now is that Mr. Smith will make a speedy recovery.I apologize on his behalf and to KICK for the situation.”

Smith, a U.S. Army veteran who wrestles as PTSD therapy, is thankfully now awake and stable.
