Penta’s journey in the “Last Time Is Now” Tournament came to an unexpected halt on WWE RAW after he suffered a serious shoulder injury during his quarterfinal match against Solo Sikoa. The injury occurred when Penta hit a head-scissors takedown off the ringside barrier. As soon as he landed, it was clear something was wrong… Penta stayed down on the outside, prompting WWE officials and medical staff to rush over.

After examining him, doctors determined he could not continue, forcing the referee to stop the match and award Solo Sikoa the victory by forfeit. The match, originally planned to go around twelve minutes, ended after just four. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Penta even wanted to pop his shoulder back into place and continue wrestling, but WWE’s medical team refused for safety reasons.
Despite the injury, WWE’s long-term booking did not change. Solo was always scheduled to win the match and advance to face Gunther in the semifinals of the tournament. With this win, Sikoa continues his path toward potentially becoming John Cena’s final opponent during Cena’s farewell run.
As for Penta, his tournament hopes end here, and his WWE future now depends on the results of further medical evaluation.
