Last November, The Bloodline faced Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre, and Brawling Brutes in a WarGames match at Survivor Series PLE. During the match, Owens accidentally slapped hard Reigns, which resulted in Reigns suffering a ruptured eardrum.
Reigns was supposed to appear in the Survivor Series post-show media scrum but he didn’t appear. Instead, The Honorary Uce and The Wise Man answered the media.
After the incident, Roman Reigns didn’t appear on WWE television for a few weeks. Fightful Select reported that “those that we spoke with didn’t believe there would be any extended heat in regards to the situation, and that it seemed like more of a ‘heat of the moment’ reaction”. However, The Tribal Chief didn’t forget the incident.
There’s an unwritten rule in pro wrestling called “receipt”. It means, if a wrestler strikes his opponent for real, the opponent should do the same.”
This past Friday on SmackDown, John Cena and Kevin Owens faced Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn in a Tag Team Match. During the match, Reigns gave Owens “the receipt.” The Tribal Chief delivered stiff punches to Owens throughout the match. As a result, Owens suffered an eye injury.
