Michael Cole Reportedly Removed From SmackDown Announce Team

Michael Cole Reportedly Removed From SmackDown Announce Team

Last August, WWE changed its announce teams. As a result, Michael Cole and Wade Barrett provide the commentary for Monday Night RAW. Cole also appeared on the blue brand’s commentary team along with Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves. The changes were made because the company wanted to train Patrick under Cole to improve his skills.

Today, PWInsider reported that WWE announce teams will be limited to two men from this year onward. This means Michael Cole will be exclusive to the red brand.

“The word making the rounds in WWE is that starting in the new year, the announce teams will all consist of two men booths.

That means that Michael Cole’s time on Smackdown ended last month.”
