Conor McGregor was scheduled to make his highly anticipated comeback against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 last June, but it was postponed to later this year. However, Dana White confirmed during his Contender Series press conference on Tuesday that McGregor won’t return to the octagon this year.
In a deleted X post, the former two-division champion responded to White’s statement. McGregor stated that he will start training next month to prepare for the fight. He also insisted White to book the fight in December.
On X, Michael Chandler responded to Conor McGregor as follows:
“Ah conor, the sport will move on and thrive without you. Put to bed. Laid to rest. Soon a distant memory. You’ve vastly overestimated your importance inside of this game for almost a decade. Godspeed.”
