Malakai Black wrestled his last AEW match this past Sunday at All Out in Chicago, Illinois. Black and his team “House of Black” had a six-man tag team match against Miro, Sting, and Darby Allin. However, the House of Black lost the match.

As you can see in the following video clip, Malakai Black blew a kiss and goodbye to the fans after losing at All Out.

Very weird ending for Malakai Black. I don’t think this part aired. I feel like he knows something we don’t know. #AEWAllOut pic.twitter.com/Xu2AJ4cZBB

Last week, Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc reported that Malakai Black was requested his release due to health matters and frustration with his bookings. That time, AEW president Tony Khan denied Black’s request.

Fightful Select has reported that Malakai Black was granted his release from AEW but it was a conditional release, which means he could not return to WWE anytime soon.

AEW has not publicly commented on Black’s release.

UPDATE: Malakai Black explained his AEW contract status

We will update you when we receive more details. Stay tuned with The Spotlight.
