Lacey Evans Officially Done With WWE

Lacey Evans Officially Done With WWE

Lacey Evans became a headline in the pro wrestling world within the last 24 hours after she changed her social media handles. Evans refers to her as “FKA WWE Superstar Lacey Evans” on X and Instagram.

Yesterday, the 33-year-old star posted a photo of herself on Instagram and stated that fans will address her as “Macey Estrella” going forward. With that Instagram post, many speculated that either WWE granted her release or her contract expired.

Dave Meltzer confirmed via the F4WOnline message board that Evans is done with WWE. However, Meltzer didn’t provide further details.

Lacey Evans joined WWE in 2016. Evans made her main roster debut on the January 21st, 2019 episode of Monday Night RAW. Last year, she dropped her Sassy Southern Belle gimmick. WWE then repackaged Evans as a military gimmick due to her being a former US marine. However, she was unable to go over with the audience. Evans last competed in a dark match on July 7th, where she lost to Zelina Vega.
