This week, AEW President Tony Khan made headlines in the pro wrestling world with his social media rant. Khan issued a statement outlining fans’ double standard about the booking of Hook and Jinder Mahal.
Tony Khan stated that Hook received a lot of criticism for challenging AEW World Champion Samoa Joe, and he asked where’s the rage for Jinder Mahal getting a World Title match.
Tony Khan’s X post got huge attention from pro wrestling personalities, including Eric Bischoff. The WWE Hall of Famer reposted Khan’s X post with a clown emoji. Dax Harwood reposted Bischoff’s X post with a video clip of Bischoff challenging Vince McMahon to a match in WCW. Bischoff replied to Harwood by stating, “Awe a bucks! That little thing? Strap in, I’m just beginning to get warmed up!”
In an interview with Jeff Snyder, FTR discussed the social media war between Tony Khan and Eric Bischoff. Dax Harwood said the following:
“I don’t think Tony Khan gets the credit that he deserves because he afforded a lot of people, a lot of jobs, and a lot of income. I mean, even if you look outside of AEW, you got all these old-time, miserable podcasters like Eric Bischoff and some of the others who make a living just by going on their podcasts and burying Tony and AEW when they know that AEW is a place where business is thriving. Where AEW is a place that is helping change professional wrestling for the positive. So not only did Tony give us and hundreds of other people living. He’s afforded a living to some people who otherwise would be sitting miserable, bankrupt in their house.”

Cash Wheeler explained why Eric Bischoff was mad at Tony Khan.
“I think he’s really mad that Tony wouldn’t give him a job the few times he was there to collect the paycheck. Here comes bankruptcy number four!”
