AEW President Tony Khan signed a lot of wrestlers to the company and now Khan has to deal with numerous backstage issues. The most notable incident was CM Punk and Adam Page controversy.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer recently reported that a lot of backstage drama going on AEW locker room which means Punk and Page’s issue was not the only one.

Voice of Wrestling reported that Eddie Kingston and Sammy Guevara were involved in a backstage fight which led to Kingston being suspended from AEW. Dave Meltzer confirmed the news and added that The Mad King was secretly suspended a few weeks ago and now the suspension is over.

Fightful Select has provided further details on Kingston and Guevara incident. They noted that “Guevara and Kingston had developed heat and it devolved into an altercation. The word backstage was that Guevara made a comment about Kingston’s physique, and Kingston took a swing at him.”

During an interview with PWInsider, Eddie Kingston commented on the incident with Sammy Guevara. Kingston stated that he knows he was wrong.

“You know the truth. I wouldn’t lie. I was wrong for being unprofessional. That is the blind fact. He did what he did and the public can judge that but I know for a fact I was wrong.“

Eddie Kingston was not backstage on AEW Dynamite after being suspended from the company. Many believe he will be returning next week. But Sammy Guevara was present at AEW tapings, where he teamed up with Tay Melo to wrestle Ortiz and Ruby Soho. The match will air this Friday on AEW Rampage.
