Last night, Kazuchika Okada successfully retained the AEW Continental Championship by defeating Dax Harwood in the main event of Dynamite. The Elite attacked Harwood after the match. Darby Allin joined Bryan Danielson and Cash Wheeler to kick The Elite out of the ring.
Allin announced that he suffered a broken foot on the March 13th episode of Dynamite against Jay White. Last month, Allin revealed that he suffered a broken nose after getting hit by a bus.
The former TNT Champion provided an update on his health after last night’s AEW Dynamite went off the air.
“What a f–king crazy few months. Holy sh-t, I thought the worst happened when I broke my foot. Then I was in New York and got hit by a f–king bus. As you can see, I’m not 100%. I still have a little bit of a limp, I got a nose brace on. But f–k, I am going to Anarchy in the Arena because I want to defend AEW’s honor. Like I said, I’m not 100%. Jesus, when [Dax Harwood] just did that suplex, I was sitting crisscross applesauce, and a f–king beam hit me in the head. I thought I got knocked out. I was like, ‘There goes my return.’ I’m not gonna keep you here for long because there’s some more bad-ass action to come. I gotta go to the hospital or something. I’ll talk to you guys later.”
Darby Allin, Bryan Danielson, and FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) are scheduled to face The Elite (Kazuchika Okada & Young Bucks) in an Anarchy in the Arena match on Sunday, May 26 at Double or Nothing. Due to Eddie Kingston’s knee injury, Allin replaced him in the match.
