Last Sunday, CM Punk successfully retained his Real World Championship by defeating Samoa Joe at All In. However, prior to that match, Punk was involved in a backstage altercation with Jack Perry over a comment during Zero Hour.
AEW President Tony Khan confirmed during the All In post-show media scrum that both men were involved in a backstage altercation. Khan also said that he was investigating the matter. Sports Illustrated reported that CM Punk and Jack Perry have been suspended indefinitely from All Elite Wrestling.
Fightful Select reported that CM Punk was supposed to defend the Real World Championship against Ricky Starks in the main event of All Out. However, Punk’s suspension affected the plan.
“One of the matches on the table was CM Punk vs. Ricky Starks for the AEW Real World Championship, which would have followed up their series of matches that went down this summer. From what we’ve heard it likely would have been the main event.”

Tony Khan stated on X that Ricky Starks will challenge Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat to a Strap match at All Out.
