Last Friday, Roman Reigns made his return to SmackDown after a nearly two-month absence from WWE television. WWE’s power structure was completely changed during Reigns’ hiatus.
On September 12th, the WWE and Endeavor deal was completed and TKO Group Holdings was listed on the New Stock Exchange. Recently, Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated reported that Ari Emanuel made changes to WWE’s creative department. As of now, Triple H is the Head of Creative and oversees the WWE product.
Fightful Select reported that Vince McMahon’s removal from creative won’t affect Roman Reigns’ creative direction. They added that Paul Heyman and Reigns heavily contribute to The Bloodline storyline.
“Vince McMahon is no longer contributing creatively. However, we’re told that Roman Reigns’ creative process is largely the same. Both Reigns and Paul Heyman are said to contribute heavily, and did, regardless of the head of creative was Vince McMahon, Triple H, or a combination of the two.”
Roman Reigns is scheduled to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against LA Knight on November 4th at Crown Jewel.
