Backstage News On Length Of Rob Van Dam's AEW Contract

Jack Perry became the FTW Champion by defeating Hook on the July 19th episode of AEW Dynamite. Last week, Perry stated that FTW Title was introduced to the fans in a second-class promotion (ECW). He also said that the title got recognition after he became the title holder. Jerry Lynn who was a former ECW wrestler interrupted Perry and said that he will kick Perry’s a** if he keeps running his mouth.

Last night, Jerry Lynn interrupted Jack Perry and said that the doctors won’t medically clear him. Therefore, Lynn called WWE Hall of Famer RVD to fight Perry for the FTW Title. The match was made official for next Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.

PWInsider reported that RVD signed a short-term deal with All Elite Wrestling. The WWE Hall of Famer is scheduled to compete in only one match in the promotion. It’s worth noting that RVD has been advertised for WrestleMania 40 packages in Philadelphia.

RVD last competed on the April 29th IWC Superstar Showdown IV event.
