WWE’s Tentative Replacement For Kevin Patrick On SmackDown Revealed

By The Spotlight StaffJanuary 24, 2024
WWE's Tentative Replacement For Kevin Patrick On SmackDown Revealed

Kevin Patrick, Corey Graves, and Michael Cole have provided the commentary for SmackDown since August of last year. Cole was removed from the blue brand’s announce team earlier this month. The company expected Patrick to become the successor to Michael Cole. However, Patrick was unable to exceed expectations.

On Tuesday, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reported that Kevin Patrick has been released from WWE. Patrick was a well-liked person in the company. However, the management decided that he wasn’t the right person for that role.

PWInsiderElite reported that Michael Cole will join Corey Graves on commentary for the January 26th episode of SmackDown. WWE is yet to determine who will be the permanent replacement for Patrick on SmackDown. Cole and Graves will do the commentary for PLEs as usual.
