This past Friday’s SmackDown took place at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. Paul Heyman kicked off the show and talked about how Jimmy Uso made Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes lose the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles. Heyman then hyped the Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight match at Crown Jewel. The Megastar came to the ring and said that he would take the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship from Reigns.
Montez Ford defeated Santos Escobar. After the match, Street Profits attacked Escobar. Carlito came to the ring with a chair in his hand. Ford and Dawkins backed off.
John Cena issued an open challenge. Solo Sikoa accepted the challenge. Jimmy Uso also came to the ring and hit a Superkick on Cena. However, Jey Uso took out Jimmy with a Superkick. Cena then delivered an Attitude Adjustment on The Enforcer.
Logan Paul challenged Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship. The match between Rey and Logan was made official for Crown Jewel.
Grayson Waller and Austin Theory defeated Cameron Grimes and Dragon Lee in a Tag Team match.
In the main event, Iyo Sky defeated Charlotte Flair to retain the WWE Women’s Championship. Returning Bianca Belair saved Charlotte from Damage CTRL’s attack after the match. Bianca delivered a KOD on Bayley to end the broadcast.
According to Nielsen via SportsTVRatings, the October 20th episode of WWE SmackDown drew 2.253 million viewers on FOX and a 0.59 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
