This past Friday’s SmackDown took place at the Madison Square Garden in New York, NY. The entire show was built around The Bloodline. The Usos kicked off the show to hold the Tribal Court. Roman Reigns said that nobody can call the Tribal Court except The Tribal Chief. However, The Usos showed the footage of Reigns manipulating his cousins. Reigns then tried to gaslight The Usos. Tribal Chief handed his lei to Jey but then hit a low blow on him. Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa brutally attacked Jimmy and Jey Uso. Jimmy was then carried on a stretcher.
Austin Theory defeated Sheamus to retain the United States Championship. Pretty Deadly helped Theory to win the match.
AJ Styles defeated Karrion Kross within two minutes.
Asuka, Bianca Belair, and Charlotte Flair got into a brawl. Iyo Sky attempted to cash in her MITB contract, but Charlotte hit her with a Big Boot.
Edge defeated Grayson Waller. After the match, The Rated R Superstar praised Waller’s performance.
In the final segment, Roman Reigns waited in the ring until Jey Uso came to confront him. The former Right-Hand Man entered the ring through the crowd. Jey attacked Reigns and Sikoa with a chair. He then challenged Reigns to an Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match.
According to Nielsen via Wrestlenomics, the July 7th episode of WWE SmackDown drew 2.561 million viewers on FOX and a 0.76 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The previous episode (June 30) drew 2.510 million viewers on FOX and a 0.69 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
