This past Friday’s SmackDown took place at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. The United States Championship Invitational kicked off the show. Rey Mysterio defeated LA Knight, Sheamus, and Cameron Grimes to qualify for the finals in the tournament.

Santos Escobar defeated United States Champion Austin Theory in a non-title match.

In the final segment, Roman Reigns and Jey Uso discussed the Rules of Engagement for SummerSlam. Reigns asked Jey if he still wants to face him for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. “Main Event” Jey Uso said that he must beat Reigns after everything he did to Jimmy Uso. Reigns signed the contract. However, Jey ripped the contract and said that Elders wanted a Tribal Combat between him & Reigns. The Tribal Chief and Jey Uso shook hands. Solo Sikoa tried to hit a Samoan Spike on Jey. Roman Reigns blocked it. Jey Uso then hit a Superkick on the Enforcer of The Bloodline.
