This past Monday’s RAW took place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Cody Rhodes kicked off the show and told Brock Lesnar to come out and fight him. Lesnar’s music was then played but he didn’t arrive. Rhodes then went backstage, but Lesnar ambushed The American Nightmare. The Beast attacked Cody Rhodes in front of his family members. He then accepted Rhodes’ SummerSlam challenge.
Gunther defeated Matt Riddle in a singles match. The Ring General called out Drew McIntyre after the match.
Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville defeated Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan to become the new Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Viking Raiders defeated Alpha Academy in a Viking Rules match.
Shayna Baszler squashed Nikki Cross in a singles match. After the match, Ronda Rousey appeared in the crowd and reminded fans that she is the greatest combat sports athlete of all time. Baszler then told Rousey to come and fight her. Rousey said that she will meet her at SummerSlam.
Becky Lynch demanded a rematch from Trish Stratus during the Miz TV. WWE Hall of Famer agreed to a match under a few conditions. First, Becky Lynch should beat Zoey Stark in a match. If Stark wins, Becky should get down on her knees and say, “Thank You, Trish.” That’s not all, Becky should also get a “Thank You Trish” tattoo on her chest.
In the main event, Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn defeated Damian Priest & Dirty Dominik to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships. Sami Zayn sang a song for Owens after RAW went off the air.
According to Nielsen via PW Torch, the July 17th episode of WWE RAW drew an average of 1.855 million viewers on USA Network and did a 0.57 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
This week’s RAW had 1.881 million viewers in the first hour, 1.939 million viewers in the second hour, and 1.745 million viewers in the third hour.
The previous episode (July 10) did an average of 1.809 million viewers on USA Network and a 0.49 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The previous episode (July 10) did 1.851 million viewers in the first hour, 1.869 million viewers in the second hour, and 1.707 million viewers in the third hour.
