This past Monday’s WWE RAW took place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The first hour of RAW aired commercial-free. Cody Rhodes kicked off the show and he was interrupted by the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. The Visionary reminded that Rhodes interrupted him in a previous episode of RAW after winning the World Heavyweight Title. Rollins challenged Rhodes to a match. However, before Rhodes could accept the challenge, they were interrupted by Judgment Day. The faction attacked Rollins and Rhodes. Sami Zayn then made the save to set up the main event.
Chad Gable earned an Intercontinental Championship opportunity by defeating Ricochet, Tommaso Ciampa, and Matt Riddle in a Fatal Four-Way match.
Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Bronson Reed.
Becky Lynch said that she will end her storyline with Trish Stratus next Monday on RAW. Zoey Stark interrupted Becky and said that she and Stratus already beat her. Shayna Baszler then came to the ring and said that she made Ronda Rousey quit WWE. Stark told Baszler that she can send Baszler home too. Becky Lynch said that both should face each other in a match. Adam Pearce then made the match official. Shayna Baszler defeated Zoey Stark.
In a backstage segment, Sami Zayn was attacked by JD McDonagh. Zayn was replaced by Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event.
Ludwig Kaiser defeated Otis.
New Day made their return after months away from the squared circle. They defeated Viking Raiders.
Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, & Shinsuke Nakamura defeated The Judgement Day in the main event of RAW. After the match, Nakamura hit a Kinshasa on Rollins.
According to Nielsen via Wrestlenomics, the August 7th episode of WWE RAW drew an average of 1.888 million viewers on USA Network and did a 0.61 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The previous episode (July 31) did an average of 1.759 million viewers on USA Network and a 0.53 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
