This past Monday’s WWE RAW took place at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee. The show kicked off with the match between Sami Zayn and Damian Priest. In the closing moment of the match, Sami went for a Helluva Kick, but JD McDonagh grabbed his leg. Priest then delivered a South of Heaven on Sami to win the match. After the bout, Priest pushed McDonagh and left him alone in the ring. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn then hit Stunner and Helluva Kick on McDonagh.
The Miz came to the ring dressed as LA Knight. Miz mocked the megastar and said that fans cheer for the catchphrases. Miz further said that fans cheer anyone who wears and acts like Knight.
The Viking Raiders defeated The New Day. During the match, Drew McIntyre accidentally hit Xavier Woods with a chair. In a backstage segment, Kofi told McIntye and Riddle that Xavier wasn’t medically cleared to wrestle next week.
Chad Gable defeated Ludwig Kaiser by Disqualification.
Shinsuke Nakamura once again ambushed Seth Rollins ahead of their match at Payback.
Tommaso Ciampa defeated Bronson Reed.
In the main event, Becky Lynch defeated Zoey Stark in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
According to Nielsen via Wrestlenomics, the August 28th episode of WWE RAW drew an average of 1.677 million viewers on USA Network and did a 0.51 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The previous episode (August 21) did an average of 1.591 million viewers on USA Network and a 0.50 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
