Last April, Brock Lesnar started a storyline with Cody Rhodes by attacking him on the April 3rd episode of Monday Night RAW. Their first match took place at Backlash PLE, where Rhodes picked up the victory. The second match of the feud happened at Night of Champions. In the event, Brock Lesnar was declared the winner after Cody Rhodes was passed out to the Kimura Lock.

Last week, The American Nightmare appeared on Monday Night RAW and challenged The Beast to another match. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reported that the third match between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar will take place at SummerSlam.

“Got big news. Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes is SummerSlam. SummerSlam, Ford Field. The match number three. I presume he’s (Rhodes) going to win too. He should win.”

Rhodes and Lesnar are 1-1 in the storyline. We assume that the third match will be a stipulation match. The 36th annual SummerSlam premium live event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 5th at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.
