Last night, WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite went head-to-head and both companies wanted to beat others in the viewership. The first 30 minutes of both shows aired commercial-free. WWE NXT featured John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Asuka, Undertaker, and several other main roster stars while AEW Dynamite featured Adam Copeland, Bryan Danielson, Saraya, Chris Jericho, etc.
Two new champions were crowned on last night’s AEW Dynamite. Orange Cassidy won the International Title for the second time while Hikaru Shida became the AEW Women’s Champion for the third time. In the main event of Dynamite, Adam Copeland won his AEW in-ring debut by defeating Luchasaurus.
On NXT’s side, Cody Rhodes kicked off the show with three announcements. John Cena had a segment with Bron Breakker before the main event. Cena and Cody also appeared in backstage segments. Jade Cargill was shown on NXT television for the first time and she was welcomed by Shawn Michaels. The Undertaker made his return in the final few minutes of NXT and taught Bron Breakker a lesson.
