This past Tuesday’s WWE NXT kicked off with the match between Ilja Dragunov and Wes Lee. Dragunov defeated Lee with a forearm smash. Dragunov will face Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship on Saturday, September 30th at No Mercy.
Bron Breakker challenged Baron Corbin to a match at No Mercy. Breakker said that Corbin would be going out of the arena like Von Wagner. Corbin said that he wasn’t Von and then slapped Breakker. The two got into a brawl and the security separated them.
Charlie Dempsey, Drew Gulak, and Damon Kemp defeated Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen, and Myles Borne in a Six-Man Tag Team match.
Lyra Valkyria defeated Dana Brooke.
Tyler Bate defeated Axiom in the Global Heritage Invitational.
The Creed Brothers defeated Malik Blade and Edris Enofe in a Tag Team match.
Nathan Frazer defeated Akira Tozawa in the Global Heritage Invitational.
In the main event, Becky Lynch defeated Tiffany Stratton to become the new NXT Women’s Champion.
According to Nielsen via SpoilerTV, the September 12th episode of WWE NXT drew 850,000 viewers on USA Network and a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
