This past Tuesday’s WWE NXT was kicked off by “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes. He announced that there will be a Men’s Breakout Tournament and Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic after the Women’s Breakout Tournament. Cody also said that he was the special guest General Manager for last night’s episode. Cody Rhodes booked the NXT Championship match between Ilja Dragunov and Dominik Mysterio for the show. He also announced that LA Knight would be the special guest referee for the match.
Asuka defeated Roxanne Perez. After the match, Kiana James attempted to attack Roxanne. Shotzi made the save.
The Brawling Brutes and Tyler Bate defeated Gallus in a Pub Rules match.
John Cena came to the ring to address the fans. However, Cena was interrupted by Bron Breakker. The GOAT then praised Breakker and extended his hand for a handshake. Breakker sucker punched Cena and went for a Spear. Cena then tried to hit an Attitude Adjustment on Breakker but the former NXT Champion escaped.
Ilja Dragunov defeated Dominik Mysterio to retain the NXT Championship. After the match, Dijak attacked Dragunov.
Lola Vice defeated Dani Palmer.
Carmelo Hayes defeated Bron Breakker in the main event. After the match, Breakker attacked Hayes and said that he was the only badass in WWE. The Undertaker made his return and taught him a lesson.
According to Nielsen via SportsTVRatings, the October 10th episode of WWE NXT drew 921,000 viewers on USA Network and a 0.30 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
