This past Tuesday’s WWE NXT kicked off with the NXT Women’s Championship match between Tiffany Stratton and Thea Hail. Stratton tapped out to Hail’s Kimura Lock when the referee was distracted by Drew Gulak. Stratton then managed to pin Hail via roll-up and retained the title.
The Dyad vs. The Creed Brother match was made official for next Tuesday and the losers in the bout must leave the brand. Rhea Ripley appeared in a backstage segment to warn Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams. Nathan Frazer retained the NXT Heritage Cup by defeating Dragon Lee. Gigi Dolin defeated Kiana James in a singles match. James attacked Dolin after the match.
In the main event, Carmelo Hayes successfully retained NXT Championship by defeating Baron Corbin.
According to Nielsen via Showbuzz Daily, the June 27th episode of WWE NXT drew 622,000 viewers on USA Network and a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The previous episode (June 20) drew 773,000 viewers on USA Network a 0.23 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
