This past Tuesday’s NXT kicked off with the Steel Cage match between The Creed Brothers and The Dyad. The Schism dragged Brutus Creed backstage before he entered the cage. However, Brutus attacked Joe Gacy’s followers and entered the cage. The Creeds Brothers won the match, and they became a part of the NXT roster once again.
Butch defeated Charlie Dempsey in the Global Heritage Invitational.
In a backstage segment, Von Wagner challenged Bron Breakker to a No Disqualification match next Tuesday on NXT.
Elektra Lopez and Lola Vice defeated Dana Brooke and Kelani Jordan in a Tag Team match.
Dijak defeated Eddy Thorpe.
Dirty Dominik and Rhea Ripley appeared in a backstage segment and announced that there will be a match between Mustafa Ali and Dragon Lee to determine the No. 1 contender for the NXT North American Title next week. Dominik also said that he would serve as the special guest referee.
Joe Coffey defeated Nathan Frazer in the Global Heritage Invitational.
In the main event, Kiana James defeated Roxanne Perez, Gigi Dolin, and Blair Davenport in a Fatal Four-Way match to become the No. 1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. Kiana will face Tiffany Stratton for the title next Tuesday.
According to Nielsen via SpoilerTV, the August 29th episode of WWE NXT drew 614,000 viewers on USA Network and a 0.16 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The previous episode (August 22) drew 720,000 viewers on USA Network a 0.19 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
