This past Tuesday’s NXT kicked off with Gallus attacking the new NXT Tag Team Champions Tony D Angelo & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo in the Parking Lot.
Lyra Valkyria defeated Jacy Jayne in a singles match.
In a backstage segment, Trick Williams told Carmelo Hayes that he wanted to create his own path because he’s not just a sidekick. Williams also told Hayes that they won’t break up.
Dirty Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley came to the ring and Dominik bragged about his victory at the Great American Bash. Dominik said that he is the greatest Luchador in history. Dragon Lee interrupted Dom and reminded him that Rey Mysterio is the greatest Luchador of all time. Lee challenged Dom to a match for the NXT North American Title next Tuesday. Rey then appeared on the big screen and told Dominik that he will be in Lee’s corner next week.
Dijak defeated Eddy Thorpe.
Elektra Lopez & Lola Vice defeated Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz in a Tag Team match.
Noam Dar & Oro Mensah defeated Carmelo Hayes & Wes Lee in a Tag Team match.
Baron Corbin defeated Andre Chase after hitting him with an End of Days.
In the main event, Santos Escobar, Tony D’Angelo, and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo defeated Gallus in a Six-Man Tag Team match.
According to Nielsen via Wrestlenomics, the August 1st episode of WWE NXT drew 717,000 viewers on USA Network and a 0.23 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The previous episode (July 25) drew 703,000 viewers on USA Network a 0.23 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
