WWE’s former Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis was involved in a hush money settlement scandal with the former CEO and Chairman of WWE Vince McMahon. After the hush money scandal was published by the Wall Street Journal, Laurinaitis was placed on administrative leave, and Paul Levesque also known as Triple H was named the new Head of Talent Relations in July.
According to the latest reports from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, John Laurinaitis has been officially, quietly, let go by the company.
“Several WWE sources reached out to confirm Laurinaitis has been officially, quietly, let go by the company. We are told that the termination happened within the last week or so and it was, for obvious reasons, being kept very quiet beyond a very small circle. We are working to confirm when the departure took place but every source, to a person, made it clear Laurinaitis was let go.“
Laurinaitis signed with WWE in March 2001 after Vince McMahon purchased WCW. He worked in the Talent Relations Department until 2012. Later, he was rehired as Head of Talent Relations in March 2021.
