This week’s Monday Night RAW took place at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. On the show, Bayley hosted the “Ding Dong Hello” with special guests the Women’s Tag Team Champions Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky.
Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer Lita then interrupted Bayley and challenged Kai and Sky for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. The bout was officially announced for the upcoming Monday Night RAW. However, that wasn’t the original plan.
Recently, Fightful Select reported that WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus was spotted backstage in Ottawa, ON, and was supposed to appear on the “Ding Dong Hello” segment. The creative plan changed at the last minute. Therefore, Stratus left the arena before the segment happened.
Ringside News also confirmed that Trish Stratus was the original plan for the “Ding Dong Hello” segment.
“She was in a meeting with Triple H for a while, and then her participation in the show changed after that.”
