Recently, we reported that WWE’s Chief Financial Officer Frank A. Riddick is set to leave the company later this month. Riddick also received a $5 million bonus after the Endeavor deal was completed.
Yesterday, WWE President Nick Khan sent a company-wide email to every employee and informed them to stay at home until the Human Resources Team contacted them. Today, the company laid off several top executives as part of workforce reductions.
PWInsider reported that Executive Vice President of Development and Digital, Jamie Horowitz has been released from the company. Horowitz joined WWE in 2021 and he was hired by Nick Khan.
Catherine Newman, Executive Vice President and Head of Marketing is the second confirmed departure from WWE. Newman joined the company in June of last year. She oversaw Marketing, Brand, Community Relations, Entertainment Relations, Creative Services, and Photography.
Amanda Bloom, Director of Enterprise Master Data & Governance has also been let go by the company. Bloom was with WWE for over seven years. She played an important role behind the scenes for the Technology Department.
Vice President of International & Platform Andy Levine, Brand Director Kimberly Kirkegard and Affiliate Marketing Manager Saverio Brighina were also laid off from the company.
As of now, more than 40 employees have been fired by the company. PWInsider further noted that they can’t confirm every name. WWE roster, the production team, on-air talents, producers, and coaches wouldn’t be part of today’s cuts.
